Serendipity Nature

The private game reserve on which the Serendipity and Sable Valley hiking trails are laid out has a very rich and diverse nature and during our visits to the area I took many photographs, some of which I have displayed on this page.

The Waterberg Mountains is the setting in which the Serendipity and Sable Valley hiking trails are situated. The area consists of prime bushveld dissected by some beautiful mountain streams which cascade down rock strewn kloofs.

Fruit of the Large Fruited Bushwillow

This is the place to see fine examples of trees such as the Large Fruited Bushwillow, the Velvet Bushwillow and Rock Figs.

The area is ideal for those interested in spiders and birding.

There are also several mammal species to be observed such as Zebra and Wildebeest.

When walking through this area take your time and take in the natural surroundings. The trails are not long and it is worth doing some exploration around the camps.
