Thabaphaswa Hiking Trails
Near Potgietersrus, Limpopo Province
The Thabaphaswa
network of hiking trails have been in existence for a number of years although
they may not have been walked by and appeared on the calendars of most hiking
clubs. They are relatively short and should be managed by most hikers with ease.
The area is spectacularly beautiful with the dome shaped granite rock formations
and the diversity of the flora forming the backdrop. The area is also rich in
birdlife.

In
keeping with the the rest of the camp, the ablutions can also be
described as unique. Water is heated through a wood fired 'Donkey
boiler' which works very well. The toilet is of the flushing variety
and despite being in the open is well maintained and kept clean.
Please supply own firewood
or purchase from the camp attendant. |
